The area has a unique micro climate owing to its proximity to the sea and general geography which makes both Costas ideal holiday destinations Torrevieja has an approximate 320 "sun days" per year - the chart to the left defines the average temperatures and rainfall.

As well as the miles and miles of pristine, award winning beaches there is always something going on!

There are many new and established golf courses around the area and there are theme parks just outside Benidorm including Terra Mitica, Mundomar, Aqualandia and a safari park at Elche. Most towns play host to street markets once a week.

Many tourists worry about proximity to night-life and that is exactly why TEMA make a point of seeking a wide variety of property. Clients can be as close to or as far away from the night-life as they wish.

In the towns and city centres people will often find great contrast between the old and the new. With tourism and property investment funds coming into the areas local governments have invested heavily in infrastructure and amenities. Most towns have a traditional town square with a church and yet clients will also find modern services such as shopping malls, hospitals and policing. Torrevieja in particular has spent millions of euros in providing many differing facilities from health care, through to education and sports (Torrevieja has an Olympic sized swimming pool).

Many of the beaches have lifeguards throughout the year (though some only provide this service during the high season) as well as activities such as boat and jet-ski hire, diving schools, fishing etc.

The Costa Blanca and Costa Calida can be easily accessed by Alicante or Murica (San Javier) airports. Regular direct flights are available from most major European airports. On the ground there is a good quality road network linking all parts of the Costa Blanca/Calida - most towns are accessed by the N-332 "Coast Road" or the A-37 Alicante-Cartagena motorway (freeway).
